John Millers Entry
The worst has come to my family and it is only the beginning. It is 1929 and the stock market has crashed and everyone is panicking. I went to get my money out of the bank like every concerned civilian did and suffered the same bad news. I was too late in line and lost all my money I had left over to support my family with. It is terrible. But I guess not as bad as others. Yes I have no saved money, I lost my job at the Ford Factory and no one wants to buy my stocks shares but at least I did not buy anything on margin or on credit. I have friends who have to watch their belongings be sold because they could not pay for them. My family gets to keep all of our belongings but we may need to sell them for the extra cash. I know we will have to move out. We will not be able to pay for the next month. What will we do, where will we go. Our family was once making 200 dollars a month and in a heart beat we are making nothing. If there is no work anywhere how can our economy balance out. We will all end up being homeless and hungry, children, the old everyone. The news says it is so bad that people just killed themselves in the first few weeks on the depression. Stock brokers losing everything and jumping out windows, it is sad to even imagine it.

JAMES millers entry
In 1928, me and my family are consider the Miller family, we lived in a good decent life. My father works in the Ford factory and gets paid about 200$ per month. With all the spend the money for our everyday life, but it left us 30$ spend on stock market. With that money my father bought 4 stocks and these stocks increase over time. This gives us good profit at the end, which gives joy. Since we never went to a Jazz concert or seen a movie before. So my father decided that once he sells the stock, we are going
to the movies for the very first time. But the joy and the wealth did not last long, in October 1929 every thing change in United
States, something that we the people never expected to happen. The stock market and the economy have fallen, this had cause panic through out the country. My father who spend his 30$ on stocks are now worthless, since the stock value had decrease into a unprofitable price. Luckily my father did not bought the stock on margin meaning that he does not own nay money to the stock seller. But unfortunately other people did bought the stock on margin. My friend Tom, his father bought the stock in margin and now with this crises he now owe lots of money that he did not have. Then again it gets worst, with the bad economy the factories have to shut down or hired many works causing many people to be jobless. Sadly my father got fired from the Ford
factory and only little workers are working for them. This made us feel sad that when my father announced that he lost his job. We knew that we also lost our home, since we no longer have the money to pay for the rent. At least I know my family are not the only ones, every where I seen people looked shocked, scared, confuse, and worried about their future. When my father wen to the bank to withdraw money that we saved, he end finding a long line. The line have not proceeded, that indicated my father that the bank is closed. This had cause more panic, so worse that I heard people had killed
them self, since they lost everything that they use to have. Well, my family almost lost everything, we
still have our furniture but not our house. I do not know where we are going to live. But there is one thing that I know, things will not be the same as it was in the 1920's with all that joy and wealth is no longer with us no more.

Gwyn Millers Entry
My name is Gwyn Miller and my life is common. We are not rich but
we are not poor since we are living in a two-bedroom apartment. We invested 30
dollars in stocks but only earned one hundred and one dollars in 1928 in stocks.
My family has my husband who is John Miller and my two sons Jonathan and James
Miller. We invested in 1 share of Steve’s Fine Clothiers, 4 shares of Erin’s
Educational Supplies, and McGregor Wave Radio Corp. and now I think I should’ve
invested more so we could’ve made more Money in stocks.
My life is now bad in October 29, 1929. The stock market crashed
and now we couldn’t sell any of our stocks since no one wants them. We don’t
have any money and John lost his job at the Ford Factory. Our income is now zero
because John doesn’t have his job anymore and we can’t sell our stocks since
everyone is now poor. The only way we can get money is to sell some of our stuff
so we can live in our apartment a little longer until we get a new job.
